BURNT UMBER PRODUCTIONS was founded in 2008 by Judi Krupp and Bill Gerber with the commitment to produce and develop bold and unique voices for the stage and screen.

Through careful selection of material, creative collaborations and key partnerships, burnt umber is dedicated to stories that promote human rights, social-justice and the celebration of diversity with the primary goal to reveal a deeper connection to our shared humanity.

The company has won five Tony Awards for best play / Best revival of a musical / the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Production of a Broadway play, The Olivier for best play, and has been twice-nominated for an Emmy for Best Documentary.
